Born in Buenos Aires in 1952, Rabbi Nehmad descends from a distinguished line of Shochatim from Aram Tzoba (Halab) — his grandfather, Rabbi Yitzchak Nehmad, was among the first Shochatim of Buenos Aires.
He studied for four years at the renowned Yeshivat Porat Yosef in Jerusalem under Rabbi Shalom Cohen ztz"l, receiving Semicha as Shochet and Bodek from Rabbi Nissim Azran.
For nearly 50 years he has led Shechita operations in Argentina, including the export program to the United States under Neve Tzion, the certification body directed by Rabbi Shalom Cohen ztz"l.
Today, his team personally supervises every cut that leaves our facility.
